If your documents and web pages are in plain English, why not tell everyone? You can be proud that you care enough about your customers to write to them in plain English. A good way to show this is to get your communications accredited. People are much more likely to start reading a document if they know it is going to be in plain English.

So what do I need to do?

For websites or web pages – just email us a link or links and we'll do the rest.

We'll get back to you within one working day and let you know if your site or pages meet our standards. If they do, we will quote you a price for displaying the plain English approved logo.

For other documents – just send them to us.

We'll get back to you within one working day. We'll let you know if your documents meet our standards. If they do, you can have the plain English approved logo for a one-off fee of £300. This is the standard fee for one document, but if you have several documents, we will quote you a lower rate.

What if my documents or web pages don't reach the standard?

If we think your documents or web pages need improving, we will tell you why, and give you a quote for the work we need to do. You don't have to ask us to do the work, and you can send us the documents again after working on them yourselves.
