Some 'before and after' examples

Here are some examples to show you how plain English works in 'real life' situations. All the examples are taken from real documents, and have been chosen because they are self contained and reasonably short. As well as comparing the way the examples are written, look how the layout of the 'after' versions helps the reader grasp the message more quickly.
